A call for a Constitutional Convention under Article V of the Constitution of the United States of America
When a government has ceased to protect the Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness of the People, from whom its legitimate powers are derived, and for the advancement of whose happiness it was instituted, and so far from being a guarantee for the enjoyment of those and sacred and unalienable rights, the government and those elected or appointed unto, have become an instrument in the hands of tyrannical and oppressive government no longer of the People, by the People and for the People.
When the federal republic Constitution of the United States of America, which they have sworn to support, no longer has a substantial existence, and the whole nature of our government has been forcibly changed, without consent of the People, from a restricted federal republic, composed of sovereign states, to a consolidated government of the People, by the government, for the government, in which every interest is disregarded but that of the government and those elected or appointed unto, have become the eternal enemies of civil liberty, the minions of power, and the instruments of tyranny and oppression.
When, long after the spirit of the federal republic Constitution of the United States of America has departed, moderation is at length so far lost by those in power, that even the semblance of freedom is removed, and the forms themselves of the Constitution of the United States discontinued, and so far from their petitions and remonstrances being regarded, the People who bear them become indentured servants of the government.
When, in consequence of such acts of malfeasance and abdication on the part of the government, anarchy prevails, and civil society is dissolved into its original elements. In such a crisis, the first law of nature, the right of self-preservation, the inherent and sacred and unalienable rights of the people to appeal to first principles, and take their political affairs into their own hands in extreme cases, enjoins it as a right towards themselves, and a sacred obligation to their posterity, to abolish such government, and create another in its stead, calculated to rescue them from impending dangers, and to secure their future Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.
Nations, as well as individuals, are amenable for their acts to the public opinion of mankind. A statement of a part of our grievances is therefore submitted to the People, in justification of the Constitutional but unavoidable affirmations now taken, to constitute a free, sovereign, and independent body to restore our Constitution and embark on the task of empaneling a government intended and authorized therein.
The citizens and patriots have been cruelly disappointed, inasmuch as the United States of America nation has acquiesced in the late changes made in the government by the Executive branch and Legislative branch, and unchecked or balanced by the Judicial branch, having overturned the Constitution of the United States of America, now offers us the cruel alternative of submitting to the intolerable tyranny and oppression.
These, and other grievances, were patiently borne by the People until such forbearance becomes intolerable. We do not wish to take up arms, save for the defense of our Country, Constitution of the United States of America and the preservation of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. We have appealed to elected and appointed representatives; however our appeals have been made in vain. We are therefore forced to the conclusion of our Founding Fathers, that the that the government and those elected or appointed unto, has imposed such tyranncial and oppressive actions for the purpose of the destruction of our Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.
Of the necessity of self-preservation, we therefore, do hereby resolve and declare, that the government and those elected or appointed unto, have usurped their authorities and powers, and has forever ended, and that We the People do now constitute a free, sovereign, and independent body to restore our Constitution and embark on the task of empaneling a government intended and authorized therein, by Constitutional Convention as authorized under Article V of the Constitution of the United States of America.

- It has failed and refused to secure the right of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness of the citizen above all others.
- It has failed and refused to conform to the Constitution of the United States of America, and the enumerated Bill of Rights of the citizen above all others.
- It has infringed upon the freedom of religion and the founding Judeo-Christian principles of the citizen above all others.
- It has infringed upon the right to keep and bear arms, which are essential to our defense, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical and oppressive governments.
- It has invaded our sovereign states through legislative extortion and taxation of the citizens.
These, and other grievances, were patiently borne by the People until such forbearance becomes intolerable. We do not wish to take up arms, save for the defense of our Country, Constitution of the United States of America and the preservation of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.
