Bill of Rights - for everyone - a simple concept

Bill of Rights for EVERYONE - a simple concept!

Here is the simple concept of our Bill of Rights -- they restrict government, and empower people.  What they do not empower people to do is restrict the rights of others - it empowers your rights.  You don't have to believe in religion, you don't have to believe in firearms ownership, you don't have to believe in the right to a fair and speedy trial by a jury of your peers while represented by an attorney.  You don't have to exercise any of your rights -- but you will want to when you can't.  What you do not have the right to do is restrict or infringe on any other person's rights.  The government of the People, by the People and for the People restricts both you and the government from doing so.

If you do not believe in that simple concept - it is your right to find a place that agrees with whatever other anti-freedom concept you may have.

Bill of Rights - Domino Effect

Bill of Rights - Domino Effect
(from the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BeersWithOurFoundingFathers)

The collapse of advanced societies and cultures have been historically due to Tunnel Intelligence, Self-Victimization and Zero Tolerance Indoctrination. Have you ever wondered why some 'Third World' and advanced societies survive and others do not?

Some may recall that every time a Second Amendment issue would come up, I would defend not only the Second - but the whole of our Bill of Rights.  Without fail, someone would seek to remind me that they have a First Amendment Right to speak against the Second.  I have never really figured out how that works - demand the support of one right to get rid of another.  But I digress...

I have warned many times that the time would come that another right would be on the chopping block.  In recent news, the federal and a growing list of state governments are considering limiting the right to an attorney for criminal defense in indigent cases.  This is due to budget cuts (indigent defense, compared to the costs of law enforcement investigation and prosecution, is very insignificant) -- but the importance is another right is targeted.  This may impact the 4th, 5th, 6th & 8th Amendments.  How's that for a significant blow on your unalienable sacred birthrights?  It should not impact many of you -- far fewer than the Second, after all, not many people commit crimes and surely those arrested are guilty of the crimes charged against them.

So, what next?  To tally, that would leave 1st, 3rd, 7th, 9th & 10th - many feel the 9th & 10th are gone (which, by the way - is tyranny and oppression).  7th (right to jury in civil suits) might be important in a civil suit against the government.  3rd - quartering of soldiers in peace time.  1st - religion and speech.

How long could this take?  Well, the largest economy (healthcare) was orchestrated over decades - but slammed through in months.  The Second Amendment, also orchestrated over decades, but being slammed through in weeks to months all over.  The First has long been under attack - most are just ignoring it as not applying to them (i.e. - no religious holiday decorations during...of all the nerve...religious holidays and where the public can see it).
