"Beers with our Founding Fathers" - published

On November 29, 2012, Mr. Beers began a project of passion and importance.  An avid visitor of our history, the foundation for this book was laid many years ago with a passion for history, and peaked in witness of the decline of what was conceived by our Founding Fathers and all that fought, perished and even lost their personal fortunes to birth this greatest nation, freedoms and concept of government.

 This 300+ page project of 40+ chapters has been one of the heart and mind.  It is about the direction our Founding Fathers began for future generations, and the direction it has gradually taken since the early 20th century.  It is about an emotional civil war of multiple class divisions.  Seeing the history of our Constitution and Country ignored – which is to ignore and destroy the future of our Children and Grandchildren.

Our country was not founded in a day, week or year – it was decades in the formal sense, and a century and half historically.  There was actually no desire to seek being an independent country, just the concept of freedoms, and respect from the crown.  Sadly, our Country has devolved from the intents of our Founding Fathers.  This book is a chapter-by-chapter of four sections looking into the founding documents, Founding Fathers, key events and the author’s allocution and analysis of these sections looking at the issues they represent and solutions available from the efforts of our Founding Fathers.

It is finally done!

This project started in frustration of seeing the history of our Country and Constitution ignored - which is to ignore and destroy the future of our children and grandchildren.  This begin on 11/29/2012 with a concept of about 150 pages, likely less.  As events began to unfold and research added some important information, it became 200-250 projected pages.  At about 250 it was about done - then more events.  It became a work of progress in progress.  Karen and I read and edited each chapter as it was finished.  Finished 01/13/2013 for final proofing - Karen and I then read each chapter again.  Without her help this would have never been accomplished.

Over 300 pages and 80,000 words - it became much larger than I intended - quite a bang for your buck (pre-ordered, two bucks after eBook publishing)!

Today was the hoped for launch date, at least a PDF preview for pre-release purchases.

But, so much has been going on that is relevant to this book that it has caused me to add much more commentary than I expected.

However, at over 200 pages (of a planned 250 or so) we are close.  I hope to finish the commentary today or tomorrow, some final proofing, and then a PDF pre-release.  During that time I will add the graphics and Karen and I will do the final proofing and editing.

This is too important of a project - and purpose - to rush any more than I have.  It has been fun and a passion I didn't expect!

Update 01-11-2013 Draft is completed!
Thanks for hanging in there!  Started on 11/29/2012, the text draft of my book, Beers with our Founding Fathers, is complete at just over 300 pages, of a planned 150-250 and nearly 400,000 words.  There is still final proofing, graphics and few other things to finish up.

As soon as we have done the first proofing I will send a PDF to all those that pre-order to help with final editing.  It should be this week!  After this week, the pre-order pricing will end at the bargain of $ .99 and go to the still bargain of $1.98 by eBook.  I have a scheduled date and price for a hardcopy this spring after some details are worked out.

Writing a book, or any comprehensive topical matter, is arduous - and evolving.  With a few hiccups in scheduling, and thought processes that are important to include and expand on, the published release may be delayed.

The goal remains no later than January 1st - but it will depend on the approval by the e-publisher for formatting.  That can take 1-2 weeks, which meant that I need to have the book uploaded by this weekend.  That doesn't look promising - but it remains the goal.

For those that pre-order, I will send a pre-release PDF.  Before I do, please understand that many feel that once they get a PDF, they can pass it on to family, friends and colleagues.  Please refrain from doing that.  As a believer in our Country and Patriotic duties, remember that you purchased the book - its inexpensive and not intended to be a revenue cha-ching.  Its a passion.  That being said - please feel free to share with them how to buy their own copy.

Here's one more incentive.  Once the book is published through the e-publisher, I will have no idea who purchases and who doesn't, and the price will double to the extraordinary $1.98.  However, until that time - pre-release purchases through PayPal are notified to me, which allows me to keep in to contact with those that pre-order.  So, I have decided that if those that pre-order help spread the word, I will extend my appreciation when the hardcopy comes out, hopefully by mid 2013 (much sooner would be nice, but it is better to have a realistic goal than a lofty goal, and that process is much more difficult).

All I ask is that you spread the word - you have an interest in our history and future, that is what we have in common.  It is why I am writing the book and you are buying it.  Share that with your family, friends and colleagues.  They can pre-order and spread the word.  Just share the website address - www.BeersWithOurFoundingFathers.com.  After you read it, feel free to share your thoughts with me - perhaps write a book review.  These will be used to make the hardcopy better.

What's in it for you?  I can't anticipate the cost of the hardcopy until I'm done with the eBook version.  Number of pages, color or black and white pictures, etc. are all part of the cost-analysis.  The more popular, the better the price point will be.  But, regardless of that - when the hardcopy is available, I will  email all those that pre-order the eBook and offer a discount of twice the price of the eBook - a discount of $3.96.  It doesn't sound like much, but that could actually be a loss at my cost.  There is no real profit in books (unless you're in the circles of Stephen King or John Grisham).  That's my appreciation to you.  I hope to keep the hardcopy below $20, and save you at least 20-25%.
